Here is their drinking bottle with poultry nipple on the bottom of the bottle. The baby chicks took to the nipple the very first day!! It's great!!! They have clean water all the time this way..they seem to really like it!!

There are two little wood perches which my husband attached so that the chicks can roost on them. They are already using them to sleep on sometimes and they are not even a week old yet!!

The bin is setting on a wheeled cart which makes in convenient to move around to different locations. Then I can have them in whatever room I'm working in and I get to watch them a lot. Which is fun :)

Here is the frame on the top of the brooder that holds the warming lamp. It is adjustable but sliding across the top of the bin or by moving up higher by taking the long nail pins out of the holes and moving them up to higher holes.

The Chicken Brooder and new Chicks

So far this chicken brooder is working out great and the chicks are doing awesome. We picked the chicks up on Tuesday and it's Sunday now. I can see how the 6 of them will likely outgrow this prior to their outdoor coop being ready but for now this works great.
