Bought this hen and she was delivered at night, I didn't know it looked like this. Sometimes the skin is bright red like this and then changes to a more neutral color. What would cause this? The man I bought her from said he has 100 + chickens, but also told me to pull out their feathers so they don't fly away (which I of course would not do) and maybe that's what happened?

Then it changes to this color.
