Built the nest too. But since then I slanted the top the other way so the hens couldn't roost on it.
My Cozy Chicken Coop is 8x8 with a 4 foot porch it has a 20x20 ft Pen on the back side.
The pen is wired on the top cause we have hawk nesting in our back yard.

What we put on the walls were boards that came from a camper factory. It was surplus and the boards were trim that was wrapped in vinyl.
