First day free ranging.

First day free ranging for the girls. I later coupled the run up to the coop located in the background.

This side is the run side. The chicken door slides up and down and is connected to an automatic coop door. Works like a charm. I'll add another photo of the inside of the chicken door to show the workings of the auto door at a later date.

I used wood window sashes with hinges and slide bolts on all the windows. Makes for easy access and good vents. Chicken wire was installed on the inside of the windows above the nesting boxes so the sashes can stay open for ventilation.
