We both designed the coop and run, then my hubby built it. It has 3 layers of different wire on it: chicken wire, hog wire and hardware cloth (which is also buried all around the run). The coop holds at least 12 hens.
@Lyranonamous : Yes it is! We had to build it like that because we travel to see family about a weekend a month. We have a friend who comes over to check on our girls, give them food and check their water, clean the coop, but we wanted to be sure that they would be safe when we are gone.
