Had about an hour this evening and decided to start some framing. I was delayed be a foot of snow right after Christmas followed by a nasty bout of pneumonia!

A bit more time today. Some more basic framing completed. Plywood arriving tomorrow. Also 3 windows on hand. Space under the coop will be sand for the girls to play. As I said before, the entire structure will be modular and can be disassembled/reassembled in one day! This does however create some challenging design issues. Nothing this old bird can't handle.

Finally got started! (Sunny Boy was no help but he is staking claim as foreman). I decided not to use mortar as I live in a rental property and the entire structure must be modular. Medium duty construction adhesive worked well.
