Is this a normal bare bottom!!
She has slowly been loosing feathers for about a month then suddenly over the last week there are feathers all over the coop and garden. No diarrhea, no stress, no parasites as far as I can see and she has been powdered. She is about six months old.
I’m not sure, it now that I go back and think, I don’t think an early molt would happen this early. Feather picking most likely happens when you aren’t around. Try putting some blue kote on the area and see if it gets any better.
@Abriana no she isnt, but it is the same place with my other chicken and they are like Darby and Joan, where one goes the other does and they seem to look out for each other. What is blue cote, dont think I could find that here in france.
Also, I am around most of the time and I have never noticed any behaviour like that, in fact they are very close and caring to each other, they do occasionaly try a bit of "hair dressing with each other" but nothing serious
