The coop!

I had it made because we're already up to our necks in background projects and I'm busy getting my garden ready. Plus, I got a good price for it. Still, we've spent a week tweaking it. It just had an open space for the ladder in the floor, so we added a trap door. We added plastic corrugated roofing to the run with one of the panels being removable with a hardware cloth "sun roof." We've also added locks and buried a skirt of hardware cloth around the perimeter. We are also going to add another window. Our tiny flock of two Rhode Island Red pullets are getting coop trained this week, which is good during a drizzly week. We'll open it up this weekend and let them enjoy what is supposed to be beautiful weather. The nice weather will also give me the incentive to put some potted plants around the run.
