just a pinch of advice; when working the hardware cloth, use a cottonseed or pitch fork to make the wire tight prior to nailing. works for me.

duct tape was just to keep dust in on edges

I am using washer and dryer boxes. Framed the ends with 2x4 for strength and mended them together with a stapler...works great.
