I have my hen and her 2 week old chicks in a pen by themselves. She hopped the fence to sleep in house with other chickens. Should I be worried? Why is she leaving them?
Chicks hatched Sunday and Monday. I brought them in on Tuesday because we were in the midst of redoing our coop pen and it was raining so much the ground was getting wet. They have been in my bathroom for 5 days. My chickens and ducks free range in my backyard and go up in pen at night. Now...
I was checking my 2 week old ducklings this morning and saw a sore around the beak of one of them! My baby has a sore! I’m new to ducks and have been giving all that is required to keep them healthy and happy! Have I done something wrong?!?!? What is it and how do I make him better?

I’m a new chicken owner! I love chickens, I love all animals!!!!!!!! I’ve got 2 RIR hens, 1 RIR rooster, 1 Australorp hen, 1 EE and 1 white hen yet to be determined. They are being spoiled! I hope to learn how to be a good caregiver to my babies!
My friend got a young(4 mos old) RIR roo 3 weeks ago. We put them together but her 3 Orpingtons were badly attacking him. We removed him and put him in a cage next to them for 3 weeks. One of the hens seemed interested so today we put her in with him. She’s not attacking him per se. But he is...
