    The were in the coop today as well free ranging with mine! As soon as I read this, I separated them... Now what! OMG! What a bad purchase.. Too trusting .. I would never sell a person a problem like this:barnie :(

    I had apparently bought two cochin hens.. They are mixed for sure... But that is ok... But. What do I do about their feet! My chickens are all very healthy! Can I trim the talons... I don't know what to do and feel terrible. I will post pictures

    I bought a bunch of jersey's from a farmer. I free ranged, allowed them to eat when they wanted. Kept them on grower till they layed . At 6 months I mixed grower/layer so it was a combo.     The only reason I asked, is because it is supposedly a peaceful way to go. At least I have heard that in conversation from time to time. I wouldn't know personally. :idunno

    How big are the jersey chicks at their hatching compared to other breeds? I am incubating some right now, bu two bantam cochin eggs got tossed in the incubator and I am wondering if one or the other actually survive if I could brood them together? Thanks!
