It's a blue breda, I'm not sure how pure the breed is but the guy indicated that was the original stock. It's not larger than any of the other chickens so I don't think it has any meat bird in it. I checked the feet, there's nothing obviously wrong with the feet (under the pile of feathers)...

That's probably closest to what happened to me - the chickens weren't *in* the coop but rather just sort of around it like "good enough". I ended up grabbing one of those 4 ft tomato sticks and used that to herd them up the ramp. And I have found the smallest chicken is always stupidly fast...

I let the chickens out for the first time today after keeping them for a week in the outside coop, and I expected them to be back in the coop around sunset. I went out about 10 minutes ago (sunset is in half an hour) and maybe half of them were in the coop, and the other half were still derping...

An update: I've been throwing emails back and forth with dheltzel in my spare time and he has been exceedingly helpful and kind. If anyone is in the area I would suggest contacting him and seeing what he has.
