I live in Sharpsburg, but am very familiar with PTC. I highly doubt they will allow backyard chickens. Most, if not all, subdivisions probably have restrictions in their covenants regarding livestock. They won't want chickens near their beloved golf cart paths.

I have guineas and they sound off when they see or hear a hawk, but it doesn't stop them. I've lost 2 roosters in the past few weeks to hawks. Even though the roosters were bigger than the hawks, it just goes to show how vicious they are.

Had a new coop built. This one has a cement floor because no matter what we did with the floor with the old coop, "critters" would still dig through and eat the food. Here's a link:
