I've been reading the Buckeye thread (parts I & II) and enjoying all the lively discussion.
I read in thread part I to start them on game bird feed with higher protein til they're around 8 to 10 weeks old. But just now I read (in part II) that it stresses a bird's organs to feed them anything other than 16% layer feed.
What is your advice concerning feed/protein?
