Any update on your birds? Just got a new flyer from Noll's they have raised thier prices some on the meat birds. Still cheaper than most other places. Let us know how they are doing.

Have you ever raised the red meat maker before? I have done the KK but was told these get bigger. My KK averaged 5 lbs dressed at about 12 weeks old.

You might want to try Rosambro's from MT-DI I have raised them with good success. At 10 weeks or so they dressed out at 5lbs dressed and had huge breast unlike other more traditional broilers I have raised. They are a french breed and seemed to do well. I have also done Kosher Kings and they...

WOW sorry to hear that! I have had really good luck with them even in 100 degree KS summers. Out of the last 100 I did I only lost maybe two to leg issues and the rest to me squashing, pulling the tractor over or what ever. I have raised both and have had very few leg issues with the KK. Maybe one out of 100 or so. Which could have also been caused by getting hit with the chicken tractor. They are very healthy over all in my opinion.

Well, if they was democrate meat birds they would eat up all your food, promise you the moon and then tell you how you have to pay for it, and when they was done you would find out they where all leghorn roosters.
