If they are close to hatching you really need to resist the urge to open the incubator. Every time you open it to check on them or candle them you loose humidity and increase the chances that they won't be able to hatch. It takes a while for them to hatch

I order from Ebay a lot and have only had one bad experience. I rely on feedback when deciding what auctions to bid on. I don't pay attention to feedback regarding hatches because that isn't fair to the seller since there are so many variables. But please give neg. feedback to sellers like this...

They are just a couple days old. I don't know much about silkies either but I think they have dark legs

Thanks for the replies! I was thinking Blue Cochin also but the one chick is so light, almost silver, so that threw me off. They all have 4 toes and yellow feet

A local farmer gave me 12 eggs to hatch but they had no idea what breed their chickens are. The eggs were small and light brown/cream color. I think they might be Cochin but I'm not sure and the silver/white color is throwing me off. Any ideas what breed they might be and what color?

That is what I was wanting to hear. If it does end up being a pullet she's a big one. She dwarfs the other one that's a cockerel.

He/She is almost 5 weeks and stands like a rooster but has a lot more feathers than the other Barnie chick but it's comb is smaller and isn't as red. Anybody have any ideas on gender or is it too early to tell? As a feather comparison the chick in the front is the same age and breed
