I have no experience incubating eggs and only plan to do a small number at a time. Maybe 5 at a time. What incubator would you recommend and why?

The broilers are from Ideal Hatchery. Believe they are astrolorp and dark Cornish.

I picked up a few black broilers in December. I am wondering what would be the prime age for butchering these birds. What age/weight is best to butcher at?

Thanks for everyone's response. I figured out the issue. I had two males in the cage. There was no fighting as they seemed to get along. Once I removed the other male, POW. They laid 4 eggs the very next day.

I am not sure why my coturnix have not laid any eggs. I have two males and four females. A pic of my coop is on my profile if that has anything to do with it. Thank you...

I build this quail coop in just over a day. Hope it gives you all ideas on making your own cage. Measures 4' 7" x 3' The bottom is hardware cloth with chicken wire on the sides.

@BeachMomma Thanks for the reply. They received the fowl pox vaccine two months ago. I am leaning toward these guys fighting.
