I am doing a county fair poster and i am also showing Black Jerseys
i am new to the breed not to chickens in general
I DO NOT KILL MY CHICKENS FOR FOOD!!!!!!!
i am not sure how old exactly but i am pretty sure they were born in January i am at school so i can't look at the box that we brought they home in which has there birth date
thanks for the luck
i just got two Jersey Giant chicks that i have no clue if they are pullets or cocks
they live in my basement as of when i am typing this my father has to get the coop finished for them
plz pray that they are hens and wish me luck in showing them
i just went to a Iowan chicken mini show/learning about chickens
i bought 2 Jersey Giant chicks they are gonna be my best ones or at least i hope
the person who brought them to the mini show to sell wasn't sure if they were female or male so its a guess i will show them as hens or as roosters...
my name is Emma and i have 10 younger Red Star chickens
i also have 6 older Red Stars that are done laying and I am looking forward to showing my younger ones cause i did not get to show them as pullets cause of AI but i will show them as laying hens
oh and i forgot to mention they are all hens
i really love chickens and i am doing a school project on showing chickens so i was wondering how different ways of showing chickens look like i would also appreciate it if you gave me advice on other breeds to get cause right now i have Red Star and wanting other breeds too so thx plz show me...
Red Star chickens would also be fairly good to show because i placed runner up champion on my Red Stars and i would really like to know a good way to keep them calm when i am holding them cause they are my pets as well as my show birds plz give me some advice i need it
