For the record, this is what hatched out of the "Tolbunt Polish" eggs. The Welsummers did not hatch (only one developed / quit on day 19).

And back on the subject of AC - what do you guys *do* with your culls? Eat them? I'm serious about that. What do you do with chicks that hatch mismarked? Kill at hatching? Sell cheap as 'pretty black and white birds'? Feed out and send to freezer camp?

The one thing I don't like about the ACs so far is how flighty they are. No matter how often I attempt to interact with them, it's always a dead panic when I appear in their world.

Here is what hatched from the small, white, "Tolbunt Polish" eggs from this seller: Brown with brown or olive legs. No crest. I'm sure they'll be cute, but they're not Tolbunts. Or even Polish. The 'Welsummer' eggs did not hatch. Caveat Emptor.

Reprising fermented feed: I can't get my AC chicks to eat it yet, but stirred half and half with dry crumble to the consistency of damp crumble, they gorge. I figure any amount of the beneficial bacteria is better than none.
