I stated in my introduction to BYC that our chickens are a feathered aquarium...by that statement I meant they are as therapeutic as watching fish in an aquarium and the eggs are WAY easier to collect. For me no matter how frustrating a day I have had, my girls are always glad to see me and bring a smile to my face with the quirky stuff they do.

Update status hhmmm. Well our flock is growing and growing. We have a 5 laying hen flock now 2 silver laced Wyandottes 2 Buff Orpingtons and 1 Barred ROCK who's sister was taken is a raptor attack. We have added a second Barred ROCK(7 -8 weeks old) 2 gold laced Wyandottes (5 weeks old) and 2 Blue laced Wyandottes (3 weeks old) to our original flock well as soon as they are ready to meet the big girls anyway.

Not really sure what is expected here but here goes. Myself and Hardheadedgypsy(Blyth) are on our second flock of chickens. Our first flock of 8 birds met a very untimely death, well 7 died number 8 survived by our not being able to catch her to clip her wing to keep her safe..go figure.
