If we're still talking about the pros and cons of quail, a big negative is how much they're like middle school kids. Fickle, temperamental and the males are driven by their sex drive.

LOL! HOw's your day?

I now have 16 quail in a brooder and 2 cages. My last hatch just before Christmas added 7 new quail. I gave 4 (processed) birds to my brother-in-law as a gift, lost 1 bird to an untimely death (just found her dead), and culled another due to incompatibility.

I currently have 15 quail in 3 cages. I'm incubating 10 more eggs from my Italian hen and Tibetan (celadon) male. They're set to hatch a few days before Christmas. Can't wait to see what emerges.
