    Ideal "poultry shipped" email question...

I got the same email from Ideal saying that they shipped on the 18th (but they were supposed to ship in the 19th). I ordered a batch from mypetchicken, and they were supposed to ship the week of the 17th and I received them on the 18th - only one day! I was hoping that would have been the case...

I spent a good deal of time on here reading about BBB and agree that he probably isn't suited to be a pet - and we would not eat him. So, I guess I am going to cancel the order for him. I searched briefly for hatcherys that would ship just 1 turkey and didn't find any; we have no need for...

Coop advice for free range chickens needed

We have approximately 20 chickens that we need to prepare coops for. Our intention is to let them free range since our main purpose of getting them was to help with the tick population. My latest thought is to put their coops in our large, fenced vegetable garden area, thus allowing them to...

Thank you all for the responses! We are going to keep our turkey as a pet - do I still want him to receive so much protein?

Hello, I'm new to the forum, chickens and turkeys and I must say first how thankful I am to have come across this wonderful, informative site After discovering many, many ticks while putting in a garden this spring we decided to get some chickens; after a trip to the feed store we found...
