I'm no expert, but I have heard of people making a small hole into the air pocket to look in and see if there is movement or if they can see if they are shrink wrapped. No chirping or anything? Hopefully someone might have some better advice for you. I'm sorry. :(
Well the last little duck has struggled, but he looks good today. Last night I was a little worried that he still wouldn't make it, but this morning he is looking much better. He looks to have splayed leg last night. He was pushing himself around on his tummy. I was prepared to bind his legs...
These are my first ducks. They will live at my father-in-laws' house on four acres when they are bigger. We are building the duck house and pen this weekend. The duck section has lots of info too! But I'm new to all of ths as well. I've been reading everything I can find. :D
They are all three out. All had to be assisted. That was NOT easy. Lol
I was a wreck last night thinking I was going to lose one. The third one is still in the incubator resting. He was finally free this morning. He is very very tired. I'm still waiting to see if he makes it, but he looks good...
Draigathar was such a huge help!!! I have two ducklings in the brooder and one still in the incubator. :D
It's been a rough night and I'm sure I'll have trouble sleeping knowing the third is still waiting. :(
