The all white one is a cockerel. Saddle feathers are pointed & longer. And his tail feathers are curling. Pretty boy.

Yes, but bec his Dad is a Cochin, & not sure if his Mom is a Cochin or Buff Orp. But Cochin cockerals develop slower. I keep that in mind.

Poor babies. I laughed but I know it isn't funny. I've only witnessed when new chicks pull & peck their own Momma's eyes & eye lids. It is in my opinion, the curious chick just learning? I'm not sure why you have 1 chick pecking her own siblings eyes. I would wonder if she sees mites? But not...

Yes, Thank you. We've kept chickens for abt 20 yrs. (This is my 1st time having Cochins).The Cochin group on fb had me concerned bec they said Cochin roos grow at a slower rate than the hens. Wings & tail come in later than the female. So I have been second guessing. Lol. Thank you so much everyone.
