i personally love metzer they get all my business online.. and there ducks seem to always do better then hoovers.

itll def help prolong the poop mess but it is inevitable. speciallt when winter hits. all the poo will create a layer you cant just wash off and cant wash it off when its freezing... the best and only true method to keep your lawn is moving them around.

i have a few ducks that refuse to go in the pools theyll drink out of em but will not go in. i just let them make there decisions

i think you answered your own question.. muscovy is what you want. theyre everything you pretty much described. khakis are loud and they dig up the lawn. and not the greatest meat birds. khakis are one of my favs but they dont fit your wants

i personally wont incubate eggs that are cracked. i have tried in the past and the success rate is not good. bacteria gets through the crack. i do like that you tried and i hope the best of luck with the one you have!

in my opinion a dirt floor. dirt wont rot away like wood. ducks dont need heat. but with it being pretty hot they would appreciate the cool ground!

imo. for ease of cleaning a nice green treated wood floor that has been painted. with bedding... if you wanna go for the cheaper side the dirt with some bedding would also suffice

if its the smell holding you back just get them! your hardly going to notice a difference with just two ducks.

consider yourself lucky! the Easter egg hunt every morning is def a labor of love! i will note that my pekins and khakis are the worst. the cayugas seem to prefer atleast laying them on bedding. LOL

def normal ducks arent like chickens. they will lay wherever they happen to be at the time.. only when they want to hatch the eggs they make a nest. atleast in my experiance.

correct golden 300 are one of the very few that can be sexed by looks at this age.
