So thrilled that we have had all 5 healthy chicks hatch! Scattered dates which caused some stress and mumma hen accidentally stomping on a partially hatched chick and last egg being left for ages but thankfully it was a hot day. It was my first time hatching, and our neighbour who gave us the young rooster was shocked as he only had 2 eggs hatch from his 5 eggs (different rooster)

Update! First time egg hatcher. While Goldie was off the nest to have a dust bath (hot here in NSW Australia today) I did a final check if the chickens are growing and I saw movement in all 5 eggs!! Wow I wasn't expecting all to be ok so far! I feel like a proud grandma told Goldie she is a wonderful mumma too. Been having to give her food & water for 2wks as she won't get up. Thankful for this group
