I used a 60 degree elbow instead of a 90 the tray pipe is slanted slighly and it fills the tray pipe fine.

It is my experence that a hen does not have to mate with a rooster to lay eggs. But the evidence leads me to believe that your hens are nearing the age to start laying probly winthin a couple of weeks, but some young hens take a little longer such as my barred rocks, rooster started mating...

Thanks for the info. i have just 3 royal palms 2hens and young gobbler. So far i'm enjoying them but have a lot to learn, hopefully both turkey and myself will survive until i gain the knowledge needed. dpops 853

Being a newcomer to having turkeys. I was concerned about what types of feed to give turkeys in the colder months. Can you give me some advice on this . Thanks dpops853.

I just installed a bottle with a nipple in a coop with 8 week old chicks . It took less than a minute for them to figure out how to get water. These nipples save water because the water don't get pooped in and get feed in it like other systems i've tried. I LOVE THESE THINGS. DPOPS853.

i'm sorry to hear of your loss its sad to lose a pet . i've had them to fight before but not to that point. i have a wire cage that i sit in the coop and place the new kid in and let them get used to each other a few days before i release the new one.it seems to work pretty well hope this helps...
