    Sticky weak and cant hold its head up

    Our little one isn't making it unfortunately, it's just lying there now. So I've put him in the incubator on a blanket to keep warm. He's not opened his eyes out eaten anything. His head is still floppy.

    Late hatching sticky duck egg, very weak

    One is up and chirping, but the other one is still struggling to get up and keep it's head up. They're still not eating, but they're still here, so that's good.

    Sticky weak and cant hold its head up

    Thank you so much for the advice. One is up and chirping but one is still very wobbly And both are not eating yet. I have seen something about putting them in a shock to keep them up right until they can hold themselves. Have you tried this? Thank you again so much

    What do you do with cockerels that you can’t keep?

    Have you asked your milkman if he knows anyone that will have him or any local petting farms.

    Late hatching sticky duck egg, very weak

    Is there anything I can do to give them a boost and help. Ive cleaned most of the sticky stuff off, but they are weak and dont seem to want to eat or drink. They were two days over due. One is moving around but one does not seem to be able to lift its head and they have not fluffed up.

    Or hen didn't peck the young ones, she got really upset and wouldn't shut up. I had to remove them and slowly bring them closer over days. I've never heard her make so much noise unless she was laying. It was very odd. She's fine with them now, but they are still like two separate packs, the two...

    using a tarp

    Ah I'll have a look at the difference, i am still bothered if they will try to eat it when they hatch. I put them on puppy pads sheets while they were in the brooder last time but that was the years ago. It ment they didn't slip, everything soaked up and they didn't eat it. I'll look up shaving...
