addimg a chicken to the already established flock can be very stressful to the bird, this def could be your problem, how are the other hens taking to her and treating her?

Yes I agree ~~my girls that are molting and have pale combs, I've put vitamins w/ electrolytes in their water to help them through this stressful time, and no they are not laying .

ive found 3 so far same size pert much so in a few days time.

I found this little banty out at my farm, and I thought she had a severe case of mites too! so I started slathering her feet down with vaseline..and after about a week she lost her 1st toe!! and NO!! its not from it being cold! its summer here in Arkansas! she now losing 2 more toes! same thing...
