Our RIR has stopped eating but will still drink. Her hindquarters are crusted over. I have cleaned her up, but do not know what else to do for her. Please help.

We recently bought 6 bails of hay that are loaded with burs. We didn't realize until we broke them down and put them in the coop and pen. I have seen the chickens eating the burs and there doesn't seem to be any ill effects. I have read where the plant is poisoneous. After it has been bailed...

I can confirm this . . . one of our chickens caught a small mouse and ate it last week and I was totally shocked. I didn't realize they did this, but we can use all the help we can get keeping the rodents at bay.

Where can we purchase a couple of these Golden Nuggets? We live in SE Missouri.

If you use an allbright sponge that has the rough green side, it will take the speckles right off.

Hi all, our daughter in Indiana gave us a NHR from Easter. We built a small coop with a 10x10 enclosure and purchased 3 more. We believe they are all NHR and our Easter girl just started laying an egg a day.
