I just got 5 silkie roosters that I plan to use in my breeding program after they make it through quarentine...when I was taking them out of the cage I counted their toes to make sure they were correct and noticed that the spurs on both feet had grown into a complete circle...should I cut them...

I just got 5 Black Silkie roosters at an auction...apon inspection of the birds that are going into quarentine I noticed one has six toes and one has a nail that has grown into a complete circle...big enough to put my finger into...can you trim these nails just like you do a dog...I know you use...

whatever she is she is still a good layer...she is in my buff orpington pen and mates with a buff roo...babies are super cute...she will not go broody for nothing...will keep her for a pet I guess.

I have a two year old guinea that I just noticed hobbling around, when i went to see what was wrong I noticed his middle toe is cut off in the middle, it is very swollen and looks infected (puss I think) I can't put antibiotics in the water so what ever I give him will have to be injected. what...

1 & 2 ARE COCKRELS...3 & 4 PULLETS...5 COULD GO EITHER WAY BUT I THINK PULLET.....PRETTY BIRDS..

any body know what breed this hen is? I have had her for two years and she lays brown eggs.

rooster is present and doing his job...2-4 have hatched...only thing she can see is no white part to egg..chalaza is missing..could it be genetic ??
