**UPDATE TO SHORTAGE OF PULLORUM ANTIGEN** 2020 EXP. FOR SALE

The woman at the Idaho Dept. said she sent an email today to the USDA for an update and will let me know. I'll keep you posted. She also said she reached out to Oregon last week to see if they had heard anything yet, and they hadn't either. This shortage has been sooooo long!

**UPDATE TO SHORTAGE OF PULLORUM ANTIGEN** 2020 EXP. FOR SALE

Interesting! I called the Idaho department of Agriculture today, and they still had not recieved word yet on when it would be available. I am hoping to cross into Utah for an event the end of April. The Idaho representative was somewhat positive we might be able to get it before then...

    Cockerels or Pullets?

My vote is definitely the Easter Egger you have the arrow pointing to, and I'm also going to say the Easter Egger is picture 8. Most often, Easter eggers that have deep mahangony colors like that are cockerels. The same goes for the black with white splashes.

Sexing marans chicks (wheaten & black copper)

Agree! Too many people think they can feather sex chicks, I see it all the time when people come to pick up day olds from me and they think they can feather sex them. They don’t understand that it has to be very specific genetics for that to actually work.

Sexing marans chicks (wheaten & black copper)

I’d love to see an update! Especially interested in that little teeny, tiny runt. And I retreated to see what the second Ken turned out to be. I’m curious if they were purebred.

Bald patches around chickens' vents and super bright red skin

My friend's chicken don't look any better. He did everything I told him to. They still lay eggs!

Brinsea Octagon 20 advance incubator review

Careful adding paper towels. I do that during lockdown for a higher humidity, but my incubator gets super smelly. This last hatch by the time the last chick was out it was super gross; I couldn't believe it. I think the paper towels are a good breeding spot for bacteria. Maybe not, but that's my...

Brinsea Octagon 20 advance incubator review

I don't know if you could start in in the middle. I don't see why not. Good luck with the candleing! Are you filling both reservoirs or just one?

Bald patches around chickens' vents and super bright red skin

This is what I told my friend. It's what I would do. I was hoping to get some reassurance from someone else, or a confirmation that mites could really cause this much problem. "Have you sprayed all the wood and nesting boxes in your coop with permethrin? Your chickens look awful. You must have...

Bald patches around chickens' vents and super bright red skin

C What is wrong with my friend's chickens?!?!!?! They are only a year old. I had him dust them and redust about a month ago with permethrin. But they still look awful. The flock he had before this looked that bad too, but he culled them all when he got these new ones last year. Could it be...

Brinsea Octagon 20 advance incubator review

Turkey eggs! How neat. Though I would not like waiting the extra week ;). I have the eco model, so no I don't have a cool down option. I saw that feature on the new ovations. It makes sense if the broody gets off the nest once a day to eat, drink, and defecate then I guess they would cool...

Brinsea Octagon 20 advance incubator review

Good! That's what I would've suggested. I hope you love your incubator; I do mine. I've always had super high hatch rates. Last time I lost 2 of 19 during hatch, and that was surprising to me. But I'm also not afraid to assist a chick that struggles over 24 hours. I love the accuracy of the...
