Anyone have any experience with Chuckey Chickens????

Thank you for your input, and like you I agree. I really hate buying anything site unseen, especially a living breathing animal. I am willing to pay a fair market price, but don't want to get taken advantage of, either! My main concern is health, but also looking to find girls around 6...

Anyone have any experience with Chuckey Chickens????

Howdy, I'm looking for a couple of Maran hens/pullets to add to my flock and I'm having no luck locally. I don't want to do the egg or chick thing, cause I don't have the set up. I've contacted Chuckey Chickens in TN and they've got several, but am wondering if anyone has had any...

Alright..... I give!!! Help with Breed Selection!

It's really my husbands fault (isn't always!!) We've started giving away a few dozen eggs here and there, but he always is so stingy with the larger eggs! He'll only put one or two "big" eggs in friends dozen and keep the rest for himself. I personally can't taste any difference, but he wants...

Hello and Help!!!! I purchased 7 pullets this last spring, all of which started laying by fall and are still laying almost every day! I love my spoiled flock but, am disappointed in several of them due to their egg size. I've got 2 Wyandottes, a Speckled Sussex, a Buff Orp. a Lite...

Thank you for your input! Yes, they are my spoiled pets and of course I think they're all "Best In Show"! I wouldn't want to put them through the stresses of showing if it wasn't absolutely warranted! I will still look forward to going to the shows, but as an observer only..... Baahaahaa...

To have pine shavings or not???

Here is a pic of my new coop my hubby and son built me ! We've left the back wall off during the extreme heat this summer and plan on building a removable wall this fall. As of right now they have dirt in thier run and really soft dirt (from them scratching) in the coop itself. My question...

    Call me Mrs. Impatient!!

ARG!!! All my girls are very friendly and sweet, except Buffalo ~ she is soooo stand-offish, she'll arrogently stare at us from a distance when we're giving hand fed treats. All my other girls are dancing at my feet, saying "Gimme, Gimme, Gimme"..... but not her! I'm starting to think...
