    Day 20

Th I would candle and look for any internal pipping. Just to see if you see anything. Some don't hatch as late as day 24-25. It just depends on you elements. Like I said, just candle and see. It won't hurt anything. I candles mine everyday 1-21 and they all hatched. Let us know what happens...

Newbie. Trying to hatch chicks under broody.

Newbie. Trying to hatch chicks under broody.

Hello. I have 3 eggs under my broody Australorp. We're on day 22 without so much as a pip. I candled at day 14, and they looked good. I've heard you shouldn't candle any later than that. She'll sit on the eggs until she sees me, then she paces in her pen. How much longer should I give her?

    Day 20

I'm hatching 3 eggs under a broody. At day 22, and not a pip or anything yet. She's sitting on the eggs when I sneak into the coop, but when she she's me, she starts pacing. How long until we give up? I candled at day 14, and I thought I read you shouldn't candle any later in the game.

    Newbie with molting question

Hi! New member here. I have 31 hens and 2 Roos (ages 5 mos-18 mos), most of which are in a coop together. 10 of my girls started their first molt. Should I move them to a separate coop from my 5-month-olds so I can up their protein without the younger ones eating it all?
