Morning thanks for all your advice yes mama and chick left the nest yesterday and then mama began pecking the other eggs so I removed them cleaned area and put mama and chick in nursery section of chook pen mama is really rough with chick she pecks and kicks it a lot poor little chick

Wow ridgerunner thank you so much for replying I have just checked her she has 11 eggs under her she can successfully sit on all of them .I have put a chook wire dome around her to separate her from the others as yesterday I noticed they all seemed to be harassing her. I will continue to check...

Hi all new to chicken being broody - so on dec 24th I noticed hen was broody then since that day she only came out to eat drink dust bath about 5 days ago she stopped coming out at all is extremely grumpy so technically today is day 21 so my questions are how long should I leave her on the eggs...
