Hello, thank you for your reply. She is less than a year old...will be a year this spring, this is her first laying season. We have four hens all around the same age but different breeds. She is a Wyandotte and was the last to start laying, she never really got to laying daily, every other day...

It has gotten very cold here (below freezing many nights) and one out of my three chickens has stopped laying, she has not laid an egg for just over a week, she seems fine otherwise. I have now noticed that the base of her tail feathers is looking scraggly and I have noticed the other chickens...

I am having the same problem, it has been raining in Oregon forever it seems. Nothing but clay and mud, and no end to the rain in sight. Thank you all for your ideas and solutions.I will be heading out today to get some gravel and sand, fingers crossed that it works.
