My ducks are about 7 months now and no eggs yet. My drake is quite amorous with my hen. They are housed with my chickens. My female duck likes to sit on all of the chickens' eggs!

We have a pair of ducks we named DucDuc and Goose. :)

Is there an easy way to hammer in fence staples? They are so hard to hold without hammering my finger! I feel like there is a much easier way to do it seeing as I have little hands and man hands are usually much bigger.

Ok, so this farm store not too far from me got a shipment of chicks in today so....of course I went and got some! I got 3 aracaunas and 3 barred rocks. So cute and sweet! I'll post pics as soon as I can...and the coop is coming along nicely. Working slow today because it is so dang hot out...

I am curious, thinking ahead to getting the chickens, how young or old can I go, or should I go and still be able to have relatively tame people friendly birds?

Yes, but it is SO DIFFICULT to not go and get some tomorrow!!
