    Moving a Broody

We have a broody "olive egger".. We mixed an easter egger with buff brahma. now it wants to sit on eggs. The problem is it doesnt want to be in a nest box, it wants to be behind the coop, inside of a barn. Obviously with raccoons this is not good. We dont care if she wants to sit on some eggs...

    Breeding Blue

As i understand it, when breeding blue chickens there is a high probability that the chicks will hatch and be black.. If you breed with the resulting black chicken, can she still produce blue chickens or would all her chicks just be black as well?

    Free range safety

Im not interested in how you raise your birds, lady. I was giving my perspective to the person who inquired about keeping their chickens safe.. If you sleep better at night with electrified netting so be it.. Maybe not everybody wants electrified netting in their yard/field .. Maybe i like to...

Im sorry if my roosters are expected to self sacrifice bothers you.. But its their job.. Its their instinct.. A good rooster has 3 jobs 1. Find food for his girls 2. Mate 3. Protect his girls until his dying breath I dont desire my roosters get killed, but if one of my chickens is going to, id...
