    Silkie thread!

Here are my babies! The black ones are 13 weeks and the white ones are 18 weeks. Marty, Dee, Puck, and the white ones are BC (was buttercup but he's a roo! Lol) and Pollo. I'm not sure exactly what the black ones are mixed with, momma was a black bearded silkie and dad was...??? LOL. Marty, my...

    6 RIRs gone

I am so sorry for your loss. :(. I had the same thing happen to me. Three full grown guineas disappeared one morning and I never found even a single feather. :(

    So bummed.

Thanks! I do put them up at night and they free range during the day. They usually stay out until almost dark, but I put them up early tonight. They are NOT happy either :-). We have coyotes all around and I saw a half grown fox in the edge of my yard a couple of weeks ago. We have roaming dogs...

    So bummed.

Since Sunday, I've lost four of my guineas! Something is grabbing them in the day. They free range around my house, I've got a lot of land, but it is bordered by woods on all sides. They like to go out and perch on dead logs and today I was looking for them around 11, and only four showed...

    Sick at heart

I am blaming myself, but they love to be out of the coop. They are seven weeks old so I hoped they were big enough not to be such a temptation. Live and learn but it is so heartbreaking because you get attached.

    Sick at heart

My babies, white silkies, were having their playtime outside today, I was right there, but it didn't stop a stray cat from grabbing my Muffin. I chased the cat screaming and yelling like a mad woman but to no avail :-( I cried. I am so sad. Muffin was my special one. He was six weeks old.

    Scared Keets….

I can't answer, but I can say that my new ones are the very same way. From what I've read, I don't think they'll ever be socialized the way chickens can be.

    New Guinea Mother!

Hi everyone, I just (on Saturday) bought eight keets and they are thriving! I've read everything I can about guineas and just have a couple of questions I couldn't find the answer to. So right now they are in a big cardboard box, not the greatest, but I am getting them out in a little...
