Sorry I am so late, I haven't been watching this site. I have a gal near me who will be having a few cockrels soon. If it doesn,t work out I can check with you.
Thanks,
I want a Lavender Rooster for my two Lavender hens. One of the hens is exceptional and would like some chicks from her, I know it is late in the year but I have heated facilities. I am in Rathdrum, Idaho. 208 659 4639 please text as I have poor hearing and lousy cell service..
He does free range. I thought I might try game bird feed as he is now 12% mash. I hate to get rid of him, because he has so much personality and fun to watch.
I am new to Muscovies. Some people say that Muscovy ducks can fly but the drakes cannot. Mine have no interest in flying that I have seen. They are very laid back and do a lot of sitting around. I may just clip one wing on each to be on the safe side/
My granddaughter and my neighbor both raised CX's last year on regular mash. They lost over 50% of the birds. Some hardly grew and some up and died. I raised CX's at the same time and fed 22% protein and only 1 died. They had great weight gains. Since I prefer dark meat, I would like to...
I have raised Cornish crosses, but they required 22% protein in their feed.
This year I am contemplating raising Red Rangers. Do they also require 22% protein.
High protein is really expensive. If Red Rangers do require high protein, then what meat breed does not require it.?
I am 75 years old and the only thread that I am familiar with is the type you sew. Ha Ha
I will try mustard or wasabi or something else. Do chickens have a sense of smell????
I have a Stromberg cataloge and minimum order is 15 poults. I know Strombergs drop ship so is the quality good. I want 5 poults, but could sell some to others. I live in Idaho.
