Holy COW! That is awesome. Thank you for sharing. I sure wish I had put the pup up with the chickens from the start, but since it was so hot we had him inside the house. I just have a few questions..
What form of dicipline do you use if the pup "goes for" a chicken? Mine has been pretty good...
I used to visit them 3-4 times a day on weekdays, and 6-7 times on weekends, if I didn't have them out and about with me. Now that I have a Great Pyrenees Puppy, I seem to only get up to feed and water. The pup is supposed to guard the chickens eventually, but it is hard to bond them together...
I second the VERY LARGE STINKY POOP! I didn't think my hen was getting off the nest either, but some of the feed is gone...and I caught her off of it for a second this morning, so they DO get off. Just not often at all.

Great. Okay will do! I can handle it. She's pretty busy doing her thing! I cobbled together a nesting box, but the lid must be too low. She is sitting on the eggs outside the box, but still in the crate. I was hoping to move that box out of there, but I'll just wait until the chicks hatch...
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this topic, but received no answer in the Hatching section..
I have a broody in a wire dog crate in my utility room. Primarily because it was way below zero with blizzard conditions when she started. (It was a suprise. This is my first year with...
