Oh, I’m pretty sure the one eye is gone. I was inspecting him this evening and saw a definite puncture on that eyelid. It was great to see him spin his head around to look at his surroundings. I’m feeling confident that he’ll be back to his nasty, aggressive self in no time, haha.

Ain’t that the truth. Our boys have done some mind boggling things in pursuit of food.

Positive, we have a very close knit group of neighbors, plus our boys are sofa dogs. We have a large property that sees a lot of foxes and coyotes, they don’t go outside unsupervised.

She’s been on chick grower for since we got her. I think this bag of pellets is the first one, so she’s only been eating it, and whatever she’s foraged for about a week. She had just eaten when I picked her up. And from the descriptions I read, it was in that exact location.

They’re Rouens. I think we got spoiled a few years ago when we had pekins in our last flock. Those were the sweetest birds I’ve ever known.
