Just wondering, I've always had Marans, welsummers which blend into our woods setting. Was thinking about getting Delawares but will they stand out and be found easier by coopers hawks etc? Anyone have any experience with different colors of chickens?

I've found some very helpful threads regarding the dosage amount of safeguard, particularly the horse 10%. I haven't been able to find a definite answer to the days given. I've seen once, and then once again 10 days later, 3 days in a row that's it etc etc. What do you recommend?

One other question, should I clean the run out very well now or when the med. is done? I have a hoop house run with leaves, shredded leaves, dirt floor. It is dry, with a tarp over it. In th esummer it would get wet from time to time and I would change the leaves when they started to break down.
