Anyone know of climbing plants that chickens don't eat? Dream on, right?

thanks, but i can't stand plastic plants in my house, so i probably won't 'grow' them in my organic garden either. :)

Anyone know of climbing plants that chickens don't eat? Dream on, right?

I would love to plant some climbing plants along the run - it's 8' high - but my guess is that all the bottom parts will be eaten. that's not horrible, but i wonder how i can get them to grow? anybody got any thoughts? thanks! joy

Have you ever had a group of chickens that's just smarter than the rest?

boy, mine are pretty smart, AND pretty brave. they all know exactly where the gate is, and attack it as i approach. they know the sound of the BOSS bag, the top of the yogurt lid and the sound of me tearing the lettuce from 10' away. (i always toss in some lettuce). a couple of them will...

Audible Breathing in 1 year old hen. Help!

i would leave her separate, checking on her frequently. if she seems to lose her voice, strain to breathe or make a high pitched sound when breathing, she most likely has some type of lung involvement. this is usually accompanied by her crop turning dark, or purple. if this happens, you'll...

my chicks have a coop inside a big enclosed run. i let them out of their run for ME, not for them. i need them to 'clean up' my pathways in the veggie garden. 10 minutes in that area and the pathways have no more little weeds growing. amazing little cleaners those chickies!

Sponsored Post To your chicken's health!

there is something you don't address in your ad. nothing about pesticides. this is a huge concern for people who grow organic crops in their backyards, and who want their chickens to eat organic feed. it almost feels insulting that you expound on how awesome your product is, and how natural...
