Blue gold Wyandotte am I a pullet? I act like a cockerel and muck around with them too but the comb is throwing me. Born 3 November so 8 weeks old. Silver pencil laced Wyandotte same problem as above unsure of sex. 8 weeks also. Please help!

Thanks for assistance. I just checked temperature with external thermometer and it was 35.7 when it stated 38c on machine so I guess that's my problem. Is it best to toss the eggs and start again or correct temperature and start day 1 again. It should of been day 4 today.

No I don't so will definitely be looking to do that. Also my eggs are brown eggs and I am candling around day 3 to see if there is anything. Is this too early or is it harder to see development in brown eggs etc?

I need to know if egg is fertile? I have put two lots through the incubator but no growth or development is ever seen. So I thought I would go back to the beginning and ask if the eggs are even fertile?

I purchased the no crow rooster collar and it worked like a charm for weeks on my Australorp. Then one day I went to let him out and he was dead! I have know idea why but I won't be putting another collar on my roosters in future. I am devastated he was my pride and joy.

He is only about 14 weeks old so no he hasn't started crowing. Thus my confusion and the fact Australorp have combs in both boy and girl.

I recently adopted two chicks. I had thought my black Australorp was a male due to comb and dominant behaviour. Although now I am starting to wonder if I got it wrong? Could someone please confirm as I am new to raising chickens? Also I need to know the breed of my other hen as I am at a loss to...
