Hello 👋
My favorite hen a salmon favorelle named Brandi is having some problems with her feet. (It's always your favorite that's sick 😅)
I went on a short camping trip, with double the food and water, so they were fine with that when I came back, but when I saw my girl she had bloody feet! When...
Woke up and one of my babies made this color poop on top of the brooder plate
They hatched a week ago, everyone is lively and happy, eating normally.
They have a brooder plate, not a heat lamp, I'm feeding them medicated feed.
Should I be concerned?
Thank you, I'll try not to worry to much, everyone is happy and thriving and honestly, that one is the sassiest of the bunch so 🤷 who knows!
Glad to hear that running behind hatchmates can be normal
My little salmon favorelles (now 5 days old) we're supposed to be both pullets and now I'm worried one might be a cockrel(or possibly not developing) because she isn't growing her wing feathers, at all, just looks like a bigger version of the day I got her... Is it possible? I'm not allowed to...
Im using a sanded scrap piece of 2x4 which has helped keep the poop out, and once I switch to shavings, should help with that too... At least to an extent lol 😆
I've heard of them eating shavings, and seen it at TS

Again probably not for a few days till a week
I ordered all pullets, I know there is bound to be a mistake though, I'm thinking the one SF could possibly be a roo 🤷 won't know for a few weeks for sure
as far as bedding I plan on transferring them to large 100% pine flakes here in a few days, mainly I wanted to make sure I could see the...
Just got my babies in and I know you guys will appreciate the photos
This is my first time with chickens, I've been researching for a few months now before we got them.
We ordered from Meyer hatchery
I got 2 salmon favorelles, 2 golden laced wyandottes, 2 lakeside eggers, 1 buff Orpington, and...
