Can I let my chicks outside?

Hello. My Sandy and I are new. We have zero experience in raising Chickens and are considering getting around 3 Buff Orpingtons mainly to raise as a hobby and produce eggs. Any advice would be highly appreciated. Thank you, Kevin Tobolka
