    Companion for Free Range Rabbit

Thanks for your help. The reason I want to get him a companion is because although he has all kinds of company, none of them stay with him. He does act lonely sometimes and with all the space i can give them, i thought i could give another rabbit a nice life out of cages.

    Companion for Free Range Rabbit

Hi, I have a male rabbit that lived in a little cage for the first 4 years of his life with 1 other male rabbit. The other rabbit died, and I moved the only male into the large hen house with a run. Theres about 20 hens in there. He has a place where he goes out everyday and runs around, plays...

    Lets talk about goats!

I'm getting a 4 month old nubian buck in a few weeks and don't have the fencing up yet. I already have the doe pen with 2 does and 1 wether who is 4 months old (he is going to live with the buck). I need ideas on how to keep the 2-4 month old boys in, like what kind of fencing is best. Thanks...

    Profitable Poultry to raise?

OK thank you! I've had turkeys before but had trouble keeping them from flying out all the time. But I really do like them though! I have 5 ducks now that I raised so I don't have a problem with them. I just wasn't sure if people were buying them. I am defiantly considering ducks now. Are they...

    Profitable Poultry to raise?

I'm ordering about 30 chicks to be here next month. I raise them to laying point and sell most of them for profit. I am looking for other profitable poultry to raise. Out of geese, turkeys, ducks, or guineas which are the most profitable? And can I raise them with my chicks or should they be...

    Nubian boer cross

I have 2 pregnant does that are 50% nubian 50% boer. They are bred to a boer right now. I was wanting to get my own buck this year and dont know if i should get a boer, nubian, or nigerian dwarf for some form of mini nubian kids? What would be my best choice in this situation? Thank you!

Can we get a list together of chicken breeds that can be crossed to produce sex linked or auto sexin

I had a silkie rooster breed a buff orpington hen and I hatched it out. He is white with black dots and has like regular feathers that look more slick or 'silky' than regular feathers! He's very pretty

feeding a 7 month old filly sweet feed?

Thanks bunnylady! I have been mixing her sweet feed with oats and soaked alfalfa pellets.. should I keep her on those 3 mixed together? Since she's used to sweet feed, she isn't very fond of alfalfa pellets so I have to mix them in

    Taming A Goat Kid

Hi, I have a similar problem. I got 2 does a month ago that were born last fall or early spring. They are possibly bred, and I want to tame them before they kid if they do. They will come to the grain when I feed them, but they are still very skiddish and run out into their pen when I move...

feeding a 7 month old filly sweet feed?

Can I feed my 7 month old sweet feed? I just got her and sweet feed is what she's been on so far, but do you think I should keep her on that? Should I mix it with anything? And how much grain should she get everyday? Thanks!

    Lets talk about goats!

Ok thank you! How could I change to fence to where they will stay in? Add a few strands of electric? If they get out they will get in with the cows, not a big deal as long as they dont go far and come back or are easy to catch!

    Lets talk about goats!

The goat pen is right across the fence from the horse pasture. I will probably leave the goats in their pen for a week or longer if needed when I first get them so that I can tame them and get them used to eating in there. My gelding is the dominant one and he can be aggressive but the mare is...

    Lets talk about goats!

I'm getting 2 pregnant nubian/boer goats this month!! I have a pen for them, but I was wondering if I could turn them out with my 2 horses for the winter?? The horses live in a pasture and get big round bales of hay which the goats could eat with them.. I would put the goats in their pen to eat...

Haha this could be a new breed! I will defiantly put pics as they feather and grow! You guys have some great ideas! Can't wait to see what they look like!! What's interesting is that I put several eggs from my silkie roo in the bator and the buff orps are the only that developed! The SLW...
