Hello,
I am a chicken lover/owner with who just acquired 3 Bob white Quail. I am a vet tech but have no experience with these little birds, any advice would be welcomed!
I am taking 2 females and 1 male (under a year old) from a woman who's husband just died and raised and really enjoyed...
Thanks so much! I was a little concerned because they have been great layers all seasons since they began laying.I thought mabey they were all egged out!
I did have a brooder light in their house the past 2 winters, it is plugged into a "thermo cube" and comes on if the temp. falls below 34...
All I could find is the gel caps in the vitamin D3, do you think that would work if I mixed it in a small amount of plain yogurt? I am seperating her so I can make sure she is getting what she needs.
So glad this worked for you! I figured out which one it is so I'm going to seperate her and try the D3, ACV and egg/shells.Hopefully this will work or I may have to put her down . I hate to do it but it's making a hige mess everyday and causing egg eating amoung the other chickens.I REALLY hope...
Thank you So Much! I will try this, any advise is appreciated and I'm glad I'm not alone! I think I may consult with a veterinarian I know also and I will let you guys know what she says!

I bought a waterer that plugs in and has a thermostat built in so it only comes on if temps drop below freezing.I run it off an extension cord, pat 2 winters have been super easy because of this.I believe the brand is farm innovators?
