Lol, my older ones (May 1st hatching) loved the ice, and frozen corn & peas, but the smaller ones (May 11th hatching) didn’t even try the ice. I didn’t think to make ice cubes with the electrolytes water! And adding blueberries! Great idea! Ty!
We actually had the entire side of the coop open. The doors are five feet wide. We have that covered with chicken wire that can be moved for us to do what we need to. We have electrolytes in the water. We don’t have the run completed, so the coop floor is wood (no dirt). We brought them back...
Having same problem here near San Antonio. Pretty much no breeze today. Just put my chicks out there yesterday. I’m going to apply ppl’s suggestions and as ice to another water source.
Thank you so much!! I think we will have to add windows. I guess we would just need to make covers for them for when it’s winter weather? We are going to put hardware cloth around the stilts leaving an extra foot along the ground against predators digging. Also will cover the run with hardware...
